The Rose Bowl is the most Urbana of Urbana's bars — a neighbourhood tavern a few blocks from the university that has the feel of a bar where locals drink rather than a bar designed for students, despite being both. The back room has a pool table; the front room has good beer on draught and a jukebox that plays things people actually want to hear.
It sits at the bottom of a small residential neighbourhood street, unpretentious and reliable. A better choice for a quiet evening drink than the louder strip bars on Green Street.
