A 1918 west-side tavern serving what many Indianapolis natives consider the best double cheeseburger in the city. The order is the "double" — two thin smash patties on a hand-shaped bun, with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickle. Cash and local checks only, no cards.
The room is bar-and-formica unchanged for half a century. The Wonder Bread factory next door has been gone for years; the burgers persist.
