Vander Veer Botanical Park

Historic north-side park with gardens, lawns, a conservatory, and an easy local pace.

Vander Veer Botanical Park is Davenport's graceful urban green space, north of downtown and far enough from the river to feel like a neighbourhood park rather than a tourist stop. Lawns, formal plantings, a duck pond, and the conservatory make it a calm break.

It is especially useful if you are travelling with children or need an hour outside between museums. The park is free, easy, and pleasantly unforced.
