Township Hall

The Township Hall serves today as the National Park Service visitor center and is the practical starting point for any visit to Nicodemus. In its original life it was the seat of local government — a symbol of the settlers' achievement in establishing not just a community but a functioning civic body on the frontier. The building's dual life, as both a historic artifact and an active interpretive space, makes it one of the more layered stops on the site.
