Trenton Street in West Monroe, just across the Ouachita River from Monroe, is lined with antique dealers, vintage shops, boutiques, and restaurants for about half a mile. The strip is known locally as Antique Alley and is the most concentrated shopping district in the twin-city area.
The buildings along Trenton Street are mostly early 20th-century commercial architecture, giving the street a cohesive historic character. The mix of shops includes genuine antique dealers alongside more general vintage and collectibles sellers. On weekends the street has a casual outdoor market atmosphere, particularly in spring and autumn. A good lunch stop after browsing: several of the better restaurants in the Monroe area are in this block.
