Great Raft Brewing

The first craft brewery in north Louisiana, opened in 2013 in a converted warehouse on Lake Street. The taproom is open Wednesday to Sunday, with rotating taps that lean into hop-forward pale ales and seasonal sours. The Reasonably Corrupt black lager is the year-round flagship.

Food trucks park outside. Dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and a regular stop on the local live-music circuit.

A story
The brewery is named for the Great Raft, the 165-mile logjam that blocked the Red River until Captain Henry Shreve cleared it in the 1830s — the act that made Shreveport possible.
