First Parish Church

First Parish Church is a Gothic Revival landmark in the centre of Brunswick, dating from the mid-19th century. Its vertical board-and-batten exterior is unusual, and the building was carefully restored in the early 2000s.

The church is also tied to Harriet Beecher Stowe, who is said to have had the vision here that shaped a key scene in Uncle Tom's Cabin. It pairs naturally with the nearby Bowdoin College sights and the Harriet Beecher Stowe House.
