A converted car ferry permanently moored at Long Wharf, DiMillo's serves classic Maine seafood — lobster, fried clams, chowder — to several hundred diners at a time on a working harbour. It is unapologetically a tourist destination, but the cooking is honest and the view from the upper deck across the harbour is the best you can get on a plate of clams.
Reservations recommended in summer. Walk-ins fine at the bar, where the menu and the view are the same.
