Eating Out

Rockland's restaurant scene has improved substantially in recent years. The town has a handful of genuinely good places to eat alongside the standard lobster shacks, and the Main Street Historic District has developed a cluster of cafes, bakeries, and restaurants that serve a year-round local population alongside the summer tourist trade. Lobster is everywhere, of course, but the newer places are also doing interesting things with Maine fish, oysters from the nearby bays, and locally sourced produce.
