Lexington is about 10 miles northwest of Boston. There is no subway or commuter rail service; the most practical public transport is the MBTA bus Route 62 or 76, which run from Alewife station (Red Line terminus) in about 25 minutes. By car, take Route 2 west from Cambridge and exit for Lexington Centre; parking is available at the Visitor Center on Massachusetts Avenue.
Most visitors come as a day trip from Boston. The drive from central Boston takes 30–40 minutes, longer in rush hour.
