Minute Man National Historical Park preserves the landscape where the American Revolution moved from argument to gunfire on 19 April 1775. The park is spread out rather than enclosed: Battle Road, old taverns, stone walls, colonial houses, fields, and interpretive stops that connect Lexington and Concord into a single historical corridor.
Start with the visitor centre, then walk at least part of the Battle Road Trail instead of treating the park as a drive-by checklist. The strength of the place is cumulative. Standing on a quiet lane where militia and British regulars moved in both directions makes the famous opening day of the war feel less like a painting and more like a confused, human event.
