The Old Burying Ground

The Old Burying Ground is one of Lexington's oldest historic sites, with gravestones dating back to the 1690s. Among those buried here is Captain John Parker, the militia leader associated with the first clash at Lexington Green.

It is a quiet companion to the Battle Green and nearby Revolutionary War sites, useful for putting names and dates to the town's colonial past.
