Devereux Beach

Marblehead's main sandy beach, with open Atlantic water on one side and a protected causeway setting.

Devereux Beach is Marblehead's main public beach, a broad curve of sand on the causeway leading toward Marblehead Neck. It has a more open, seaside feel than the town's small coves, with Atlantic surf on one side and calmer water and harbour views nearby.

In summer it is the easiest place in Marblehead to swim, walk the sand, or take a break from the historic streets around Old Town. The beach is developed enough to be convenient, with seasonal facilities and parking, but it still works as a simple coastal stop when the weather is clear and the tide is right.
