West Chop Lighthouse stands at the northern entrance to Vineyard Haven Harbor and has marked this corner of Martha's Vineyard since the 19th century. The tower and grounds are not open to casual visitors, but the lighthouse can be seen from the road.
It is a small detour rather than a full outing. Go if you are already exploring Vineyard Haven or collecting the island's lighthouses.
