Berkshire Museum

The Berkshire Museum is Pittsfield's catch-all cultural cabinet, mixing art, natural history, local history, and family-friendly exhibits under one roof. It is not a single-subject museum, and that eclecticism is the point.

For travelers, it works best as a downtown anchor: spend an hour or two here, then walk North Street and Park Square. It is especially useful on a rainy Berkshire day, when the hills are hiding in cloud.
