The Eastern States Exposition, better known as the Big E, is New England's giant state fair rolled into one sprawling September event. Expect livestock halls, fair food, concerts, circus acts, rides and state pavilions showing off all six New England states.
It is across the river in West Springfield, close enough to treat as part of a Springfield visit if your timing lines up.
