Whaley Historic House Museum

Address 624 East Kearsley Street, Flint, MI 48503

A Queen Anne mansion built in 1885 for Robert J. Whaley, a Flint banker and businessman, and his wife Mary. The Whaleys made their money in lumber before the automotive boom and the house — preserved with original furnishings, wallpapers and family belongings — gives a clear window into the prosperous Flint of the 1880s and 1890s, the decades just before GM transformed everything.

The house runs tours during the week and a popular series of haunted-history evenings around Halloween. The garden is open year-round.
