Holly Union Depot

Restored 1886 train depot, now a private museum and event venue

A few blocks south of Battle Alley sits the restored Holly Union Depot, built in 1886 when Holly was a junction of the Detroit and Milwaukee and the Flint and Pere Marquette railways. The depot's main waiting room and ticket office have been preserved with original woodwork and benches; the building hosts community events and the occasional open day for visitors.

You cannot board a passenger train from here any more — the last regular service ended in 1970 — but freight still rumbles through, and railfans gather along the tracks. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places.
