Air Zoo is the Kalamazoo area's standout attraction, a lively aviation and science museum in nearby Portage. The collection includes rare aircraft, flight simulators, restoration work, and enough hands-on material to keep children from feeling dragged through a hangar.
It is polished but not bland, with a real love of flight behind the spectacle. If you have only one museum stop in the Kalamazoo area, make it this one.
