Ousel Falls is the easy win in Big Sky: a short trail from near Town Center through shaded forest and along the South Fork of the West Fork of the Gallatin River. The waterfall freezes in winter and runs hard during snowmelt.
It is popular for good reason. Go early in peak season, use the marked parking area, and expect a walk that is simple but genuinely rewarding.
