Trailside Museum of Natural History

Fossil museum at Fort Robinson, best known for ancient mammals from the Nebraska badlands.

Trailside Museum is a small fossil museum operated by the University of Nebraska State Museum. Its displays focus on the prehistoric animals found in the badlands and grasslands of western Nebraska, including massive mammals that once roamed this country.

It pairs naturally with Fort Robinson and makes a useful stop before driving toward Agate Fossil Beds or Toadstool.
