A 1916 Beaux-Arts movie palace on Aultman Street, originally built by C.O. Fleming and W.P. Hull to serve the mining-boom population of Ely with vaudeville and silent film. The pressed-tin façade, painted green and cream, is one of the more distinctive storefronts on the strip. The auditorium inside has been substantially altered, but the marquee and front are essentially original.
The theatre still shows movies occasionally and hosts community events. Closed most of the year; check the marquee or the visitor centre for current programming. Worth a 10-minute look from outside as part of a downtown walk.
