The Lambertville Historical Society occupies the Marshall House, a Federal-style building on both the National and New Jersey State Registers of Historic Places. The society maintains a small but well-organised collection of documents, photographs, and artefacts relating to the town's history — its origins as a ferry crossing, its commercial heyday in the 19th century, and its decades of post-industrial quiet before the antiques trade revived its fortunes.
Hours are limited (typically weekends), so check ahead before making a special trip. The building itself is worth a look from the exterior regardless.
