Riverview Beach Park

Riverview Beach Park is Pennsville's front porch on the Delaware River, a small waterfront park where locals come to walk, fish from the public pier, and watch tankers move up and down the shipping channel. There is a playground, a bandshell that hosts free summer concerts, and a paved promenade that runs the length of the river frontage. On a clear day you can see the Delaware Memorial Bridge to the north and the Wilmington skyline across the water.

The park was once home to a popular amusement park that drew steamboat excursions from Philadelphia in the early twentieth century. Today it is quieter, but the carousel-era pavilions and the Memorial Day fireworks over the river give it a small-town character that has not been polished away.
