Ruidoso's main draws are outdoor and seasonal. In winter it's skiing; in summer it's hiking, fishing, and the horse races. The arts galleries along Sudderth Drive are worth an afternoon any time of year, and the Hubbard Museum just outside town is one of the better small museums in New Mexico.
