Boston Hill is the easiest way to feel Silver City's mining past underfoot. The open space rises just south of downtown, with trails across old claims, tailings, scrub, and rocky viewpoints.
Go early or late for softer light and cooler air. The trails are close to town but exposed, so carry water and do not underestimate the sun.
