Del's has been on Route 66 since 1956 and looks it — wood-paneled dining room, vinyl booths, a long counter, and a giant model cow on the roof. The menu runs to American-with-New Mexican accents: chicken-fried steak, prime rib, green-chile cheeseburgers, hand-cut fries.
Portions are large, the service is friendly, and a meal here is closer to a time-capsule experience than to a serious culinary outing. Worth a stop for the room as much as the food.
