Stony Brook Grist Mill is one of the village's defining sights, set where the pond, harbour road, and old centre meet. Milling began here in the colonial period, and the present structure preserves the working-mill feel rather than turning the site into a polished exhibit.
Even when the interior is closed, the mill is worth seeing from outside. It anchors the village landscape and pairs naturally with Avalon Nature Preserve across the road.
