Georgian Bread is the western anchor of Brighton Beach Ave, steps from the subway entrance, and bakes continuously through the day in a cylindrical tone (clay oven) visible from the counter. Khachapuri — the cheese-filled Georgian bread — comes out hot, and the boat-shaped shotis puri loaves are sold whole. The Georgian bakery tradition is well represented in Brighton Beach, but this is the longest-established of the cluster. It doubles as a quick breakfast stop before walking the boardwalk.
