Mount Loretto Unique Area is a South Shore nature preserve with trails, shoreline access, grassland, wetlands, and views over the water. Fishing is allowed along the beach and at the freshwater pond.
The preserve is a good Staten Island stop for birdwatching, a quiet walk, or a break from denser parts of New York City.
