Railroad Museum of the Niagara Frontier

A small all-volunteer museum housed in the 1922 New York Central station on Oliver Street, devoted to the local railroad history of the Niagara Frontier — the corridor between Buffalo and Niagara Falls that once carried more freight than almost any rail line in the eastern United States.

The collection is dense with timetables, lanterns, conductor uniforms, and an outdoor display of a caboose, a snowplow, and several freight cars. The museum opens limited hours and is best visited on Saturdays. Combine with a stop at the Herschell Carrousel a few blocks away.
