Webster Street in North Tonawanda has the densest cluster of restaurants and bars — a couple of blocks of converted storefronts, mostly Italian and Irish-American. The Buffalo wing is at home here, and a few places still serve a beef-on-weck (sliced roast beef on a salt-and-caraway kümmelweck roll), the regional specialty.
