Fountain Elms

The 1850 Italianate mansion on the Munson-Williams-Proctor campus was home to the Williams and Proctor families for three generations, and its interior survives almost entirely intact — original furniture, textiles, paintings, and wallpapers give a detailed picture of how a prosperous mid-Victorian American family actually lived. It's a different kind of experience from the modern museum building next door: more intimate, quieter, and full of specific objects with stories.

Included with Munson-Williams-Proctor admission. Guided tours are available and worthwhile; the guides know the family history in detail.
