The North Carolina Aviation Museum is a small, volunteer-flavoured museum at Asheboro Regional Airport. Its collection includes aircraft, uniforms, engines and military memorabilia, with a focus on North Carolina aviation stories.
It is not large enough to carry a trip on its own, but it pairs well with the zoo if you need an indoor stop or are travelling with someone who likes planes.
