Harmony Hall, also known as the Peebles House, is a frame house on East King Street built in the 1770s — the oldest surviving building in Kinston. It served as a private residence for nearly two centuries before being restored as a museum of local history. The house is a modest example of the regional Federal-style domestic architecture, with two storeys, side-gable roof, and central-passage plan.
The interior interprets life in Kinston during the colonial and early national periods, with period furnishings, locally relevant artefacts, and rotating exhibits. The grounds include a small herb garden. Opening hours are limited; check ahead. Admission is by donation.
