A brick-and-stone neoclassical courthouse built in 1922, with a portico of fluted columns and a small bell tower above. It is the third courthouse on the site and one of the most intact small-town courthouses in western North Carolina.
The courtroom upstairs is still in use; visitors are welcome during business hours.
