Roosevelt Park Zoo

North Dakota's oldest zoo, set inside Minot's main city park

Roosevelt Park Zoo is North Dakota's oldest zoo, opened in the early 20th century and now part of a larger city park along the Souris River. It is not a destination zoo on the scale of Asheboro or San Diego, but it is one of Minot's better family stops.

The park around it adds gardens, walking paths and picnic space, so it works well when you need a low-pressure break after driving the plains.
