Cut Bluff Overlook is a small but worthwhile stop east of Williston, set above the Missouri River landscape that shaped travel across this part of North Dakota. The site commemorates a Lewis and Clark campsite near Cut Bluff on the south bank of the river.
It is a short visit, but the view gives a better feel for the river corridor than downtown Williston can. Use it as part of a wider drive that includes Fort Union, the confluence country, or other Missouri-Yellowstone history sites.
