International Peace Museum

The International Peace Museum on Courthouse Square is a small but thoughtfully assembled museum examining the history of peace movements, conflict resolution, and anti-war activism. Founded in 1998, it covers everything from abolition and civil rights to nuclear disarmament campaigns and contemporary peacebuilding efforts.

The museum is non-profit and volunteer-run, which gives it an earnest quality absent from larger institutions. Temporary exhibitions rotate regularly alongside a core permanent collection. It sits directly on Courthouse Square in the centre of downtown and can be combined easily with visits to nearby sites.
