SunWatch preserves and interprets the remains of a late prehistoric Native American village beside the Great Miami River. The reconstructed houses, plaza, and interpretive centre make the site easier to grasp than a bare archaeological field, while still keeping the focus on the people who lived here.
It is one of Dayton's strongest history stops because it broadens the city story beyond aviation and industry. Allow time for both the outdoor village and the indoor exhibits, especially if you are travelling with anyone interested in archaeology.
