The Holmes County Trail is a paved rail trail through Amish Country, with a separate lane on parts of the route for horse-drawn buggies. Around Millersburg it gives visitors a slower way to see the fields, woods, small towns, and road culture that make this part of Ohio different.
Bring a bike if you can, or just walk a short section from town. The trail is flat and easy, but sharing the corridor with buggies is what makes it feel specific to Holmes County.
