Getting There

Port Clinton is in northwest Ohio, about 90 miles west of Cleveland and 60 miles east of Toledo. It sits on US Route 2, the main east-west corridor along the Lake Erie shore. By car is the practical way to arrive — the drive from Cleveland takes about 90 minutes, from Columbus about two hours.

There is no commercial airline service to Port Clinton itself. The nearest major airports are Cleveland Hopkins International (about 70 miles east) and Toledo Express (about 60 miles west). Neither is particularly convenient; this is firmly car country.

Amtrak does not serve Port Clinton. The nearest Amtrak stop is Sandusky (home of Cedar Point), about 20 miles to the east. From Sandusky, you would need to arrange a taxi or rental car for the remaining distance.
