Jefferson Lake State Park is a wooded lake escape west of Steubenville, with trails, fishing, a small beach, and simple campgrounds. It is not a marquee Ohio park, but it gives the Steubenville area a proper outdoor option for walking, riding, and getting out of town for half a day.
