Eldon Lyon Park

Eldon Lyon Park is the largest of Bethany's parks, on the south-west edge of town beside the North Canadian River. The 35-hectare park has soccer pitches, baseball diamonds, a popular fishing pond stocked by the state's wildlife department, walking trails along the riverbank and a community amphitheatre used for summer concerts.

The park is the venue for Bethany's main civic events — the Freedom Festival on July 4, autumn music nights, and the children's holiday lights display in December. There is no swimming, but kayaking on the river is possible from a small launch. Free, open daylight hours, with covered picnic shelters available for booking.
