Honey Creek State Park

Small Grand Lake state park with a designated swimming beach

Honey Creek is a thirty-acre slice of state park on the Grand Lake shoreline, about three miles south of Grove. It is small — picnic tables, a boat ramp, a fishing dock, and a designated swimming area — but it is the closest swimming beach to town and gets busy on summer weekends.

The park is now managed as the Honey Creek Area of Grand Lake State Park rather than as a standalone unit. Day use only; no camping. Bring water shoes — the lake bottom here is shells and gravel.
