The Pawnee County Courthouse is a three-story Art Deco brick building that anchors the town's central square. Built in the 1930s, it is one of the better small-county courthouses in Oklahoma — the proportions are good and the details, including the decorative stonework and the original metalwork on the entrance, have been maintained.
The surrounding courthouse square has a handful of shops and the Chester Gould Museum. Worth a short walk to appreciate the scale and character of a small Oklahoma county seat that predates the oil boom.
