Albany is on Interstate 5, halfway between Salem (45 km north) and Eugene (80 km south). It's an easy stop on any north-south journey through the Willamette Valley.
Amtrak's Cascades and Coast Starlight trains stop at Albany station, making it accessible by rail from Portland, Seattle, and Eugene. The station is in the south end of downtown, within walking distance of the historic districts. Greyhound and local bus services also connect Albany to regional centres.
