Lincoln City has seven miles of wide Pacific beach, accessible at numerous points along Highway 101. The sand is dark and dramatic, the surf is powerful, and swimming is for the bold — the Pacific here is cold and the rip currents are real. What the beach is excellent for is kite flying, tide pool exploration, and long walks.
