The Chehalem Cultural Center occupies Newberg's old Central School, a handsome brick building now used for exhibitions, performances, classes, and community events. It is not a blockbuster museum, but it gives the town centre a useful cultural stop between cafes and tasting rooms.
Drop in if an exhibition is running or if you want a sense of how Newberg sees itself beyond the wine-country brand. The building and plaza also anchor summer events in the cultural district.
