Tillamook Air Museum fills one of the huge World War II blimp hangars south of town. The aircraft collection is interesting, but the hangar is the real shock: a vast wooden clear-span structure built for naval airships.
It is an easy stop if you are driving the north Oregon coast, and it gives Tillamook a second story beyond cheese and dairy farms.
